Imelda is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (ACIArb), a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-K) and a Certified Secretary (CS) with eight (8) years’ experience cutting across law, taxation, dispute resolution and external audit. She has excellent knowledge of tax legislation across Africa and a strong grasp of analytical and numerical skills having provided tax consulting and external audit services across various countries in Eastern Africa i.e. Kenya, Ethiopia, Somalia, Burundi, Djibouti and South Sudan. Imelda’s experience cuts across corporation tax, Value Added Tax (VAT), customs, excise, international tax and transfer pricing. While serving at PwC Kenya, Imelda has authored and contributed to various published thought leadership articles. In another world she is a public policy enthusiast and is highly passionate about the place of policy in steering international trade and development in Africa and the resultant alleviation of poverty and promotion of human rights.
