At TTP I worked on a range of demanding, exciting projects in the Health Tech department. The role was fast-paced, often working with quick turnarounds - and involved working directly with clients, including client update presentations and lots of back-and-forth. Besides working with lots of amazing people, I really enjoyed the diverse and exciting work on offer and loved the chance to step out of my comfort zone and get stuck in to some real engineering!

In my role as academic tutor at Crimson I helped students bridge the gap between A-Level knowledge and more demanding, degree-level content. Lesson plans and homework were tailored to each student and progress monitored to ensure they achieved their goals within an appropriate timeframe. Balancing this work with study was at times a challenging task, but a rewarding one.

In this role my project was to design and build a web-based application used for stock management. This meant creating the data, logic, and presentation layers from scratch, using Python, CSS, HTML, SQL, JavaScript, as well as some bash scripts. I was able to see the project through to its completion and add rudimentary computer vision to aid user input. Work at Concrete Canvas was highly interactive, and I worked closely in a small team to finish the project and also contribute to the IT department's larger aims. It was both a challenging and eye-opening internship!
