Ibtesam Rajpar, Ph.D.

I specialize in bone and tendon research and hold a doctorate from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine. I enjoy all aspects of academic research including designing, performing and presenting experiments. I have intensive experience with the execution of research projects, literature searching, experimental design and peer review for journal publication. I am also experienced with writing small grant applications and mentoring students and budding researchers. My research work has produced seven, first-authored and high impact publications (two in review). Specifically, these articles are original contributions, manuscripts were (for the most part) drafted by me, and I have stayed on top of every step of the peer review process. Additionally, my portfolio of published research has also been presented at several national conferences, including most recently at the 2024 ORS annual meeting in Long Beach, CA. I am well versed with advanced techniques in molecular biology, mammalian cell culture, tissue engineering and animal modeling. I aspire to continue to write research papers and grants and be recognized as a thought leader in the field of musculoskeletal research in the United States.
