The NCDOT provides resources and administration assistance for all transportation-related departments in the state. Worked as a contractor through "22nd Century Technologies" as part of a team creating a redesign for the 63,000 page NCDOT.GOV site to be up to Web 2.x standards and 21st century usability and Responsive Web Design (RWD) best practices. Due to state political changes, much of that redesign was not implemented. ● A site of this size is only as useful as its search functionality and interface. With this as the focus, created an up-to-date, search panel for the site to respond to all user searches, regardless of whether the result was text, image, map, data, or document. ● Focused on wireframing, mockups, and applying new UX/UI concepts to existing site in preparation for complete changeover. ● Worked in HTML, JavaScript & jQuery, XML, Xpath, XSL/T, within an ASP.NET and SharePoint framework

Designed, developed, and operated a political satire and commentary e-commerce website which sold retail and wholesale bumper stickers, T-shirts, and badges. Site was created in HTML with Dreamweaver and used Miva Merchant as the e-commerce engine. Created a CMS using PHP and mySQL to publish articles. At peak, DMY had 20 authors, daily updates, thousands of visitors daily, and worldwide sales of up to $180,000/year. Designed over 100 items. Sold to Stickergiant.com.

Operated custom databases and publishing software to create School Accountability Report Cards for California schools to deliver to both parents and the state Board of Education.
