To assist in building a centralised records repository for the organisation, capturing the output of the organisation and supporting the information needs of 250 field based workers.

Working in a local division of a global lighting and power solutions company to manage the procurement of raw materials and services for the manufacturing unit. Planning production schedules to meet customer expectations and liaising with logistics companies to arrange transport of manufactured products. Define safety stock levels, monitor and maintain to ensure production and customer requirements are met. Liaise with national and international suppliers to expedite orders and ensure best price is maintained. Create analysis of inventory levels for finished goods, raw materials and sub-contact parts. Raise and issue Purchase Orders for raw materials and services. Deal with supplier quality issues and arranging corrective actions. Assist the sales team on lead-time enquires. Set-up new suppliers and parts on SAP business management software. Planning production and issuing works orders to the shop floor. Book in received goods.

Initially employed by the world’s leading chemical distribution company to implement all aspects of the company’s ISO 9001 quality system but quickly the role became greatly extended. Involved in many areas of the business including procurement, costing & estimating, order processing and personnel activities. Procurement for the business making a number of considerable savings through supplier selection. Maintained successful ISO registration over the five years. Controlled finished item and raw material stock levels. Analysed various aspects of the business from average cost pricing to margin sales and implementing actions to maintain profitability. Planning production and issuing works orders to the shop floor.
