The best part about my role is working with a great BTW team, including my civil/structural team of 15 staff. Our experience is varied, and appropriate for any civil, or residential/comercial structural building work I have a range of experience from my 17 years as a Civil Engineer. I have experience in civil design, stormwater (hydrological and hydraulic analysis/design), farm dairy effluent design, geotechnical, foundations, asset maintenance and management (asset management plans) for private companies, energy clients and government agencies. Recent projects include river realignments (analysis and design), large/box culverts, access road design and construction, wellsite design an construction (exploration and production), reinforced concrete design, foundation design (shallow and deep), farm dairy effluent system design and various minor residential/commercial investigations.

I undertake a range of duties, including design of stormwater (Hydrology and Hydraulic), farm dairy effluent design, erosion and sediment control, road and earthworks, geotechnical and road related structures. I undertake infrastructure asset management including asset management plans. Most of my clients are private organisations, local and state governments, and energy companies. I regularly design onshore exploration and production stations for energy clients, including access roads and foundations for specialist equipment. I also design site specific skimmer pits, and associated stormwater control.

As a Company Director and shareholder, I am responsible for managing a team of 15 civil and structural engineering staff. BTW Company were awarded the Supreme Business Excellence Award (along with the Service Industry Excellence Award, Large Business Excellence Award) at the 2014 Westpac Taranaki Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards. Projects within the team include anything from pre-purchase inspections of land, to structural evaluation / design, to industrial developments.
