Was responsible for budgets as well as overall profitability of the branch. Specialising in Construction Dewatering as well pump rental and services. Quickly grew to be recognised as one of the most relaible contractors in this field. Sucessfully delivering major projects for Qatar Rail and Ashghal. In the Oil and Gas sector became the supplier of choice for many of the service companies involved in chemical flushing and pipeline pressure testing at the time.

During my time at Byrne we doubled the size of the business in two years. Through attention to detail and providing an excellent service we were able to differentiate from our competitors to become one of the largest broad spectrum rental companies in the region. Our key accounts were across all industries, with a special focus on Oil and Gas works at the time. We were able to ensure delivery to the high and exacting standards required at such facilities and deliver on all aspects of QHSE.

Rapid Access was part of the Lavendon group with head office in Dubai. I was responsible for establishing the Qatar branch and developing market demand. In 2002 we were one of the first companies renting powered access in the region and selling was an educational process. Having to up sell the added value of the safety and efficiency of operation was a challenge but we grew Rapid into the market leader for powered access rentals at that time.
