As the Senior Director in NCS Next cloud architecture and strategy, I imagine and deliver the next innovations, experiences, and possibilities that will impact enterprises and communities. Some of my other responsibilities include; • Leading platform engineering effort to develop cloud-based platform engineering products for financial services and government sector (AWS/Azure/GCP GCC). This involves overseeing the design, development, and implementation of emerging cloud and AI technologies and ensuring adherence to strict regulatory standards (MAS TRM, ICT and SS Mgmt etc) • Leading digital cloud transformation strategy for public and commercial sectors in AWS and Azure. • Leading and establishing AWS, Azure and GCP cloud native architectural blueprints for large-scale projects in the government and financial services sector. • Developing and leading joint venture initiatives with partners.

As the Senior Technologist in Thought Machine Group (Series D UK Fintech company), I desiged next generation digital core banking systems for neo-banks, Tier 1 and 2 banking institutions. A few of my other responsibilities and achievements include: • Successfully designing event-driven, scalable distributed banking architecture for digital and conventional banks on AWS, Azure, GCP (using Kubernetes, Kafka, PostgreSQL, CockroachDB, and Python). • Conduct architectural workshops and discussions with banks’ technical leadership team on cloud-native, event-driven architecture, and cloud migration strategies in core banking space.

As the Head of Architecture and Solution Delivery, I led and developed the overall cloud-native first strategy for GIC’s 3-year digital roadmap. Apart from that, I worked alongside several C-level executives (COO, CTO and tech/business MDs) to establish enterprise architecture practices, which resulted in formation of Enterprise Architecture Board to achieve business/tech alignment. A few of my achievements and responsibilities during this time included: - Winning of Red Hat APAC Innovation Award 2020 for cloud native and digital transformation category. - GIC winning SCS EA Achievement Award 2021. - Implemented microservices, serverless, containers, Kubernetes, data analytics solutions on AWS with project teams using polyglot stacks in Java, C#, Nodejs and Python. - Spearheaded development of reference architecture, development standards, and processes to ensure consistent compatibility and integration in the company. - Developed and setup DevOps competency for organizational-wide adoption. - Led a team of senior technologists (SVP & VP) in creation of new capabilities, technology platforms, and investment systems in GIC

As the Senior Manager within financial markets technology, I guided business and technical decisions for cloud and on-premise financial markets system implementation. Other responsibilities included: - Led data lake development on Hadoop platform for financial markets operations. - Led cloud native system design and implementation using microservice architecture for financial markets systems. - Led financial markets system design and implementations with focus on trading systems integration and cross assets trade and order data processing (including Mifid2 , Dodd Frank, cost per trade analysis) - Performed implementations on public and private cloud; covering on-premise payload migration to cloud, including application refactoring to cloud native, cost benefit analysis and automation. - Provided methodologies and recommendations for cloud native software design and development using microservices and modular monolithic architecture patterns, resulting in 30% increase in delivery efficiency - Part of the pilot team which evaluated on-boarding of financial markets applications to AWS public cloud.

As the Software Architect for market risk technology, I was responsible for: - Designing and developing a firmwide market risk management platform using big data technologies, e.g. Hadoop stack. - Delivering lambda architecture design using HDFS, Parquet, Avro, Spark, Hbase, Kafka and Impala running on Cloudera platform. - Performing POC risk data storage using Apache Kudu as persistence layer. - Conducting feasibility study on OLAP-on-Hadoop technologies such as Apache Kylin and Druid for dynamic risk aggregation. - Performing analysis of APAC market risk architecture landscape in the firm.

As the Senior Development Manager in market risk technology, I was responsible for achieving business and technology alignment through regular stakeholder management and spearheading system architecture design and roadmap development for market risk business division. A few of my other responsibilities included: - Leading design and development of risk management platforms using TOGAF architecture standards, design patterns, SOA and Agile development methodology. - Managing and coaching developers/testers/BA across Singapore, India and Australia. During my time here, a few of my managerial achievements and highlights included: - Successfully digitized market risk management capabilities which resulted in 40% increase in business productivity and operational risk reduction. - Delivered risk aggregation solutions for market risk stakeholders using in-memory, distributed data platforms running on MPP, NUMA and share-nothing architecture. - Boosted team productivity by 80% through reuse of architecture framework, design blueprints, patterns and methodology. - Successfully set up offshore development functions through talent acquisition, knowledge transfer of process and development methodology to enable delivery of IT systems for business stakeholders. - Successfully consolidated market and credit risk systems and streamlined business process through design and development of unified risk portal

As the Development Manager in risk technology, I was recruited to lead next generation risk management platform development and provided architectural practices to architects and developers. I led the design and development of a risk framework platform used by risk managers globally.

- Provided technical leadership in software design and development for development teams globally using C/C++, Java and .Net. - Spearheaded design and development of 3 internal open source software frameworks from ground up (resulted 3 invention awards) using object-oriented analysis and design patterns. - Facilitated software architecture practice, design reuse for productivity and quality improvements. - Designed and developed proprietary high frequency, sensor based software systems based on high concurrency, low latency design patterns. - Designed and developed software systems used in world's leading edge wafer fabrication facilities, resulting in a fully automated lean manufacturing value chain. - Took active role in early evaluation programs for pre-release JVM and .Net runtime on Intel CPUs and chipsets.
