About
I am a Master’s student in Sustainable Energy Engineering at Aalto University with a strong academic background in thermodynamics, heat transfer, thermal energy storage, energy efficiency, HVAC systems, and project management. My studies have provided a solid foundation in the design and optimization of modern energy systems and sustainable engineering solutions. I have hands-on experience across thermal, renewable, and mechanical engineering domains, with practical involvement in heat pumps, sorption technologies, solar and wind energy systems, and large-scale heating and cooling applications. My work includes system modeling, performance evaluation, and efficiency optimization, with a strong focus on sustainable and low-carbon technologies. In addition, I have experience in HVAC, MEP, and building services engineering, including BIM coordination, cooling load calculations, and energy-efficient system design in line with international standards. My software expertise includes MATLAB, Python, ANSYS, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Simulink, LabVIEW, Revit, BIM tools, HAP, PTC Creo, and Microsoft Office applications, which I use for simulation, analysis, technical documentation, and project coordination. I am passionate about advancing sustainable energy solutions and aim to apply my technical skills, analytical approach, and engineering knowledge to deliver high-performance systems that support the global energy transition.

Experience

Master Thesis Worker
Freiburg, Baden-Württemberg, Germany
• Working at Europe’s largest solar research institute, focused on vapor compression and sorption technologies to enhance the performance of heat pump systems under demand-based heating and cooling conditions. • Developing and optimizing evaporator heat exchanger designs using water as a natural refrigerant under sub-atmospheric conditions, aimed at improving heat transfer and energy efficiency in sustainable heat pump systems, in collaboration with TU Berlin and two industrial partners on "H2O Splash" project. • Utilizing LabVIEW and Python for real-time data acquisition and performance analysis, enabling streamlined system evaluation and process optimization.

Working Student
Darmstadt, Hesse, Germany
• Designed and optimized hybrid renewable energy systems integrating photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage systems (BESS) using MATLAB, Simulink, and PVsyst, enhanced renewable utilization and significantly improved system reliability, load balancing, and resilience through performance simulations. • Conducted in-depth techno-economic feasibility studies of renewable energy projects, analyzing system costs, LCOE, and ROI, identified cost-saving opportunities and delivered insights to support strategic investment and policy decisions.

Project Worker
Essen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany
• Completed two applied case studies on sustainability in the energy sector: Ecological Corridor Management (ECM) and Offshore Wind Farm Design. • Conducted in-depth analysis of ecological corridors and land-use practices in the ECM project, presenting strategic, data-driven solutions to E.ON stakeholders. • Designed a wind energy solution to power 800 households, using ~3,500 kWh/year per household as a baseline, and performed output estimation, environmental impact analysis, and cost-effectiveness evaluation based on location-specific wind data.

Graduate Research Assistant
Espoo, Uusimaa, Finland
• Conducted research on wind and solar energy under Prof. Mika Järvinen, analyzing 20+ academic papers to assess efficiency, sustainability, and economic viability of renewable sources. • Worked as a Research Assistant in the Renewable Energy Lab, studying shading effects on PV modules and bipolar solar panel performance, analyzed IV and PV curve characteristics using Excel and MATLAB to determine Maximum Power Point (MPP) and Fill Factor (FF). • Supported the Renewable Energy Engineering course by assisting in lectures, grading 90+ assignments, and leading lab sessions on PV modules, improved course productivity by 15% through streamlined analysis methods that enhanced student understanding of energy economics and solar technologies.

Project Worker
Helsinki, Uusimaa, Finland
• Led the development of project ReLIGHT for the Deep Dive Competition in Finland, addressing key challenges in green hydrogen production with a focus on sustainability and innovation. • Designed cost-effective strategies to reduce dependence on Platinum Group Metals (PGMs) in PEM electrolyzers and engineered solutions to improve electrolysis efficiency and durability. • Collaborated with professors from the University of Helsinki to validate technical approaches and explored go-to-market strategies to prepare the technology for commercialization.

Team Lead
Islāmābād, Pakistan
• Led a multidisciplinary team of 10 students in the national IMechE UAS Challenge Pakistan to design and develop an agricultural drone for pesticide spraying applications. • Engineered a quadcopter with a 10 kg payload capacity and 15-minute flight time, capable of covering a 3,000 m spray area at 5 m/s, contributing to precision farming and sustainability. • Aligned the project with UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs 3, 9, and 13), promoting clean technology in agriculture while reducing carbon emissions and introducing drone innovation to Pakistan’s farming sector.

International Participant-UAV (Fixed Wing Category)
Afyon, Turkey
• Participated in TEKNOFEST, an international UAV competition (Fixed Wing category), and led the manufacturing process of a UAV with a team of 7 members. • Developed a twin-boom pusher configuration fixed-wing aircraft equipped with a Pixhawk flight controller, GPS module, and telemetry system; achieved full autonomous flight with specs including 3 kg weight (without payload), 1.7 m wingspan, 3100 g motor thrust, and a 5000 mAh Li-ion battery. • Engaged with international teams from around the world, fostering multicultural collaboration and gaining global exposure to UAV technologies and design practices.
