Group - Digital Transformation & Shared Services - My vast expertise gained through the years in IT, Operations, Cyber Security, Product Management, Project Management; has made it possible to take up a Group Role to lead and assist the Digital Transformation program for the bank. This is new territory and comes with new challenges and opportunity to further my knowledge as well as provide the required leadership to the Group progressively.

Took over the CIO & Head, EPMO Role for the bank reporting to the COO; to lead the teams that I had managed indirectly from the previous role. I lead the team to be more service delivery oriented and built a 7 member team to a 22 member team in readiness for the Digital Transformation that the bank was embarking on.

In this role I setup the Enterprise Project Management and Product Management Offices which were non-existent and led a team of professionals across various departments to deliver cutting edge products and services for our customers with under pinned technology enhancements to support the growth. I setup the first external facing API gateway to monetize the services that DTB could offer to 3rd party players and earn income. I was instrumental and led the setup of the Cyber Security function as well as the required systems to protect the organization from the growing Cyber concerns.

Through this programme, I learnt how to integrate key management concepts and best practices to develop strategic thinking and leadership skills as well as have an integrated view of the business landscape. The course also covered current trends in technology and their relevance to local businesses in a (post-) pandemic world.
