- Investigate and develop new optomechanical assembly products, providing technical support for new designs and assembly processes. - Generate mechanical drawings and collaborate with suppliers to evaluate cost and manufacturability. - Provide engineering and technical guideline to the operations department. - Optimize processes and implement continuous improvements for high-volume production. - Design mechanical tooling and fixtures for optical alignment and assemblies, and create detail drawings. - Simulate and analyze optical, mechanical, and thermal performance using commercial software or numerical calculations. - Integrate, assembly, and test optical, mechanical, and electrical systems. + Key Achievements: - Spearheaded a critical factory machine improvement project, taking the lead on mechanical design, electrical systems, and software development(C#, C++, Python). - The project successfully increased machine productivity and generated substantial cost savings for the company.

- Design HAC (Hot Aisle Containment) by using Welment Structure or Aluminum Extrusion for Data Center - Design Access floor or Suspended Floor, Security Cage and cover for Data center - Make detail drawings and assembly drawings for Manufacturing in house or Out-Source Fabrication and On-site installation. - Create detailed shop drawings using DWG and Solidworks for various projects (floors, containment, ceilings, and cages) - Design and develop components for in-house manufacturing at factory to ensure cost effectiveness, quality and lead time - Conduct to Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) - Calculate structure steel by using Solidworks Simulation to analyse Stress, Displacement and Deformation of Materials - Build Excel Macro to control Solidworks API to generate automatically batch of model with various dimensions (sizes) to reduce design time (less than 50% time)

- Assign as Leader for the design, installation, calibration, alignment and other related engineering works - Train junior engineer regarding different engineering software and installation principles - Involve in making the proposal and consulting solution for customer - Make raw material demand forecast for some key materials in order to meet the requirement of project - Design, modify AOI machine (Automated Optical Inspection) to detect defection on chip, wire bonding or damaged PCB (Flex PCB) - Do alignment optical system to make sure inspected images and calibration servo motor to pick and place sample in position. - Design non-contact wafer thickness measurement by using Ellipsometer or Spectral-Interferance and integrating optical system to inspect damge on wafer. - Do assemble whole systems (wafer transport system, inspection system, wafer turning-moving system…etc) that critical affect on machines/line. - Calibrate all Servos and Actuator to achieve repeatability and Alignment to make sure all tolerance (flatness, parallelism, perpendicularity, etc... with in 10-20 micron) to have the best quality product - Write SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) to guide project engineer to do commissioning - Assist Purchasing Dept to source, review, analyze the related vendor of project - Collect & measure critical parts affecting mechanism & ask vendor rework to achieve GD&T following drawing - Choose AC/DC servo motors, Step motors, Actuator (linear and rotary)...suited each designed mechanism - Choose encoder resolution, type of encoder (incremental and absolute) and the interface of encoder. - Discuss with electrical team and software team to choose which type of interface (such as RS485, modbus, fieldbus, CANopen, Ethernet, EtherCAT) between PLC (or industrial PC) and driver to control servos based on how quick (response time) and accuracy of mechanism. - Design pneumatic schematic and wiring diagram (I/O to PLC) of solenoid and sensor

- Do R&D and design robot arm (collaborative robot) for specified application - Design Automated Optical Inspection machine (AOI machine) for PCB checking - Design Optic System for computer vision machine for contact lens industry and chipset QC industry - Support and recommend on mechanical and basic electrical to optic engineer to build Optic systems - Make 3D modeling, 2D drawings to fabricate and BOM list for Optic systems. - Contact with vendors, discuss on technical issue and negotiate to help purchaser get better price - Check quality and quantity of fabrication items and commercial items and report to manager - Follow up, speed up vendor’s delivery schedule to ensure Just in time. - Do assembling, aligning and calibrating to archive accuracy (around 10-20 micron) following design - Install and maintance systems on site (mostly in Singapore) and report directly to director - Achievement : Design the Optical systems micro chip industry and do R&D collaborated robot.

- Design 3D mechanism for automation machine (by Solidworks) - Design mechanism by using robot to pick and place smart phone camera - Design fixture to hold smart phone camera at soldering position and release at unload position. - Assembling and alignment to archieve tolerance following machine principles - Make pneumatic drawing and 3D modeling pneumatic piping - Make the length of pneumatic tubes list and give that list to manager for purchasing order for each machine - Create detail 2D drawing for fabrication - Assembling mechanism and measuring to make that machine work properly. - Pneumatic piping, assist and checking I/O of PLC terminal and programing. - Leader at mechanical pneumatic team who has person in charge at pneumatic issues. - Achievement: Optimize the pneumatic system for automated machine.
