A hydrological system analysis was carried out for a catchment area in the mountains of western Nepal where water is scarce. Based on the analyses it was possible to point out the main causes of the recently decline in the water availability, and recommendations were given to implement specific so called 3R measurements to improve the availability of water. This research was part of a pilot project initiated by the RAIN Foundation in Amsterdam.

The dunes of Zuid-Kennemerland are under the control of water company PWN. This research is part of “Project Noordwest Natuur Kern”. A hydrological survey was carried out to determine to which extend the project would influence the chemistry of the shallow and deep groundwater in the dunes of Kennemerland.

This study dealt with the water balance of the Sao Romao catchment in Portugal. With the findings of this study a water management recommendation has been made.
