Founded and led a venture capital fund to back early stage African tech companies in Africa.

Built multi thousand person business delivering management services of physical assets and real estate in Egypt. Serviced commercial retail spaces, municipal and corporate buildings, industrial facilities, museums, airports, infrastructure including roads, water and energy developments. Introduced country’s first energy service contracts.

Focal point for 6 global Shell teams to support negotiation and conclusion of Qatar’s first liquefied natural gas (LNG) export to China (25yr, US$50bn). Added NPV US$450mln to Shell’s LNG project. Team leader on technical due diligence of gas receiving facilities at Chinese client ports.

Spearheaded development of new opportunities in six countries across Arabian Gulf: oil, gas and LNG. Engaged with senior Govt stakeholders to present and negotiate technical and commercial concepts.

Supported and studied multiple ventures including Egypt-to-Jordan gas pipeline and distribution, two gas distribution businesses in Egypt, exploration licenses in Syria, a gas masterplan in Iraq, and floating LNG facility opportunity in Lebanon.

Responsible for Shell participation in a multi-company, in-field oceanographic data gathering exercises to support offshore drilling operations. Also delivered CO2 analysis and optimisation scenarios for onshore gas plants, and audited safety compliance (supported ISO accreditation).
