After 10 years of leading the Security Consulting Group at Burns & McDonnell I was asked, and I have assumed the role of Director of Corporate Security. I am now responsible for leading and managing a diverse team of security professionals in the protection of corporate and client assets globally. This responsibility includes domestically over 40 Regional, Branch, and Project offices and internationally 5 offices and multiple project sites and an estimated 7,000 fellow employee owners. Additionally, my team and I will be directly responsible for international safety and security, office and project site security assessments, security planning, guard force training & structure, global electronic security system footprint, regulatory compliance, and DoD/DoE security program management. With a 20+ year background in security consulting in a large diversity of industries I can bring my diverse project experience forward to find innovate solutions and approaches to the unique problems faced by Burns & McDonnell as we continue to grow.

Responsibilities originally were the purchasing and allocation of raw material for the production team. This included the establishment of product forecasting, need forecasting, and the establishment of blanket commodity orders. I eventually transitioned into a sales role where I utilized these skills to work with clients on product order history and needs analysis to develop long term purchase contracts.

Burns & McDonnell consults for wide array of companies and entities on general security, as well as regulatory compliance. As Department Manager for Burns & McDonnell’s Global Security Service group and a security project manager, I am responsible for providing leadership and counsel in all areas of physical security, as well as threat and risk assessment for public and private sector organizations. My experience includes conducting vulnerability assessments; developing policies, standards and guidelines to mitigate security risks; and analyzing and recommending policy and procedural solutions, video surveillance, access control, and intrusion detection systems. I have an operational knowledge of eavesdropping and countermeasures, executive protection, terrorism response and planning; personal safety; foreign travel security.
