Hope Acevedo

During my internship at Premium Merchant Funding, I sourced and evaluated small- to mid-sized businesses seeking working capital, reviewing financial statements, bank statements, and revenue trends to assess creditworthiness. I worked closely with underwriters to structure tailored financing solutions based on each business’s cash flow profile and risk level. Through this process, I developed experience analyzing financial data, identifying viable investment opportunities, and communicating insights that supported funding decisions and client solutions.

As a Finalist in Goldman Sachs’ Market Madness: HBCU Possibilities Program, I worked with a team of five to develop a strategic recommendation on how a company can increase profitability. We’ve conducted a full SWOT analysis, analyzed macroeconomic trends, and evaluated financial data to support our case. Along the way, I’ve also learned about the wide range of roles Goldman Sachs has to offer and how each one plays a part in driving impact. This experience has sharpened my financial strategy skills while giving me a better understanding of the firm’s career opportunities.
