As the Vice President of Marketing for the Financial Management Association, I am responsible for promoting our weekly club meetings, as well as any fundraising or community service events. I work effectively in a team to create and develop weekly posters for all of our meetings. In addition, I am also responsible for managing our different social media sites, ensuring new and updated content is posted daily. After only two months of accepting the position, my team and I were able to increase FMA’s Facebook page postings view counts and likes by 80%.

I am currently the VP of Finance for the Temple University Greek Association. My primary duties are to plan events for over 30 Greek organizations, as well as prepare a budget for these events. I am also in charge of collecting and maintaining a detailed record of dues for over 1,500 students. I also keep track of our organization’s bank account and determine whether or not to allocate capital to certain proposed events.

My role as the Secretary of Education is to administer the grades and GPAs for all of the members within our organization, making sure no one falls behind in their studies. I also scheduled individual monthly meetings, where I provided tips on how to time manage and gave advice on how to develop great study habits, for sisters that have GPAs falling below a 2.5. I also reached out to on-campus recruiters to initiate private workshops on professional development, specifically tailored for the sorority sisters.

As the Event Coordinator for the Temple Vietnamese Association, I am responsible for directing and planning all of our organization’s events. After accepting this position, I’ve worked effectively with other officers and successfully implemented a member incentive program that increased our average attendance by a margin of 50%. I’ve also restructured our member sign up process, our feedback process, and the way we promote our events.

I had the pleasure of working at LT Artistic Nails for a little over a year and half. Throughout my time at LT Artistic Nails, I provided excellent customer service to approximately 80-100 customers a day ensuring that they had a positive salon experience. In addition, I also assisted in all areas of inventory and handled phone calls, scheduled appointed, sorted mail, and updated the customer database on a weekly basis.

During the last two years of my high school career, I was the tutor for the National Honors Society. I tutored students from diverse cultures and backgrounds in grades 9-12 by explaining essential aspects of various subjects, including algebra and calculus. I helped them analyze complex homework problems and communicated the solution to them in easy-to-understand terms.

Toastmasters is a public speaking student professional organization. Currently, through Toastmasters, I am working on my Competent Communicator certificate as well as my Competent Leadership certificate. As their Director of Finance, I am in charge of collecting and submitting all membership fees and applications to Toastmasters’ world headquarter. Along with that, I also keep detailed records of all financial transactions and am in charge of managing our organization’s bank account.
