I work at Sumitomo Mitsui Auto Service (SMAS), a leading fleet management company in Japan, where I support sales enablement and strategic planning through global alliances. My scope also includes Sustainability and Public Relations. In global alliances, I am primarily engaged in the Element–Arval Global Alliance, while continuously exploring strong “seeds” for future growth across markets. What I value most is Customer Success and Customer Experience (CS/CX). My focus is to help transform fleet management from “managing vehicles” into a mobility platform—grounded in primary evidence and operational insight—making operations easier for client teams while delivering sustainable results. I connect the key building blocks of transformation—electrification/charging, telematics, digital capabilities, and risk/insurance—translating analysis into decision-ready narratives and practical improvements that work in the field. Previously, I served as President/CEO of SMBC Malaysia Berhad. Over three years, I increased revenue by 60% (USD basis) and strengthened relationships with key stakeholders, including Bank Negara Malaysia and government counterparts (including Sarawak). I have worked across London, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia, with extensive experience supporting international clients, Asian business leaders, Chinese SOEs, Japanese corporates, PE funds, and start-ups. Earlier in my career, I also worked as an industry analyst covering semiconductors, electronics, media, financial institutions, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals—building a strong foundation in market/industry analysis and risk perspectives. Beyond business, I am deeply interested in learning from different cultures and people across countries.
