I joined Costello Medical in August 2016, after completing a PhD in Medical Science and a MRes in Stem Cell Biology at the University of Cambridge, where I developed computational methods to investigate the relationship between DNA replication and stem cell biology. To study this relationship I produced DNA sequencing data-sets from intestinal stem cells and developed computational methods to analyse them, using PERL, Matlab, and R. I also hold a MSci in Human Genetics from the University of Nottingham. My research experience has given me a breadth of understanding of the biological sciences, data analysis and research communication. Whilst completing my PhD, I also communicated science from various disciplines to the public through writing magazine articles and hosting radio shows for BlueSci. In my role as Medical Writer, I combine my research experience and communication skills to assist clients in producing high quality congress abstracts and posters, oral presentations, and peer-reviewed manuscripts.
