I currently lead the annual and long-range planning for the Global Collections function in the Global Services Group at American Express. My team collaborates with our Risk Finance partners to understand projected placements, collection effectiveness and anticipated collection volumes to accurately forecast fees paid to the 3rd party agencies. My team supports key financial processes including monthly forecasting of risk and opportunities. We also provide value add decision support to the business, analyzing different strategies to optimize overall fee rate and further educate placement strategy by incorporating detailed cost information. We prepare and present insightful analysis and key recommendations to Finance and GSG Leadership to drive decision making. Lastly, we continuously work on enhancing our financial modeling to simplify and improve forecasting.

Financial planning, research, analysis, reporting, and value optimization to ensure alignment with the company’s future financial goals as dictated by the senior leadership team. Execute aggressive data comparison to assess annual operating budget and the expenses within. Evaluate employee staffing and internal initiatives to realize trends and continue to improve productivity.

Effectively led team of six to ensure timely reporting/analysis of financial results and key indicators. Coordinate and link resources and expertise to critical deliverables. Partner with Finance team on projects, new product initiatives to ensure proper understanding of implications on the financial statements and reporting deliverables, led creation of new business unit reporting. Project lead for Customer Experience Improvement to define primary customers, create customer service engagement mapping, and develop service improvements aimed at increased business knowledge. Shape conversations to ensure focus and mutual understanding at all levels of management.

Responsible for ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of Global Corporate Payment results. Experience includes consolidating, analyzing, and reporting GCP business results, as well as managing the GCP HQ P&L, preparing commentary analysis, and managing regional calls with the LFO groups. Also, consolidating, analyzing, and reporting quarterly Global Corporate Services segment results, preparing commentary analysis for Investor Relations. Duties also include, but not limited to, partnering across teams, providing financial consulting services, identifying and highlighting control weaknesses, ensuring implementation of process improvements, and preparing ad hoc reports.

Responsible for ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of Global Business Travel results for the Canada region. Experience includes managing the GBT P&L for the Canada region, preparing commentary analysis, partnering across teams, providing financial consulting services, identifying and highlighting control weaknesses, ensuring implementation of process improvements, and preparing ad hoc reports.

Responsible for reading and interpreting business financial statements, applying accounting principles to accurately input data into a financial database and identify variances.
