About

I am a 2015 graduate of the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, I completed a rotating small animal internship (Veterinary Specialty Center) with the goal of pursuing a neurology residency. Then I pursued a special internship in emergency and critical care with elective emphasis on neurology (University of Illinois). During my ECC internship, I worked closely with the neurology service which strengthened my interest in this specialty. In 2018 I will be starting my residency in neurology and neurosurgery, which has always been a goal of mine. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, baking, and exercising with my beagle, Penny Lane. Additionally, being the daughter of a heart transplant recipient, I am an advocate for organ and tissue donation.

After completing the protocol and performing pertinent literature searches, I drafted an experimental abstract. Training for participation in this project includes proficiency in using the Glasgow Composite Measure Pain Scale and the ability to place cephalic IV catheters for blood collection.
