Provide technical expertise through control room and field monitoring and operating of the local on-site power distribution system from 500kV to 12kV. Identify and resolve emergent and persistent issues.  Develop and implement procedures and operating instructions to maintain, troubleshoot, investigate, evaluate and repair components within the substations and associated transformers, transmission lines and underground duct-banks.  Developed and maintain the department work schedule to ensure adequate shift coverage. Interface with Cumulus Coin & Cumulus Data center customers and the Susquehanna Nuclear Plant during power manipulations, system transients and with Energy Control Process requests.

Monitored and directed operation of the transmission system (69kV-500kV) via SCADA, continuously analyzed the system to recognize potential issues which require cognitive, corrective action and responded to abnormalities in a timely manner to limit the duration of customer outages.  Assisted the Planning Department in writing and reviewing both scheduled and forced outage permits. Communicated with customers and multiple work disciplines to include: Distribution Operations, Relay Test, Substation Electricians, System Engineers and Key Account Managers, during daily operations and system outages. Maintained required credit hours for NERC Reliability Coordinator, PJM Transmission Owner Operator & PJM Generation Dispatcher certifications.

Portrayed the role of a patient, a family member/friend of a patient, a physician or nurse in a medical related situation for the purpose of training medical learners of all levels, from students to practicing physicians. Responsibilities include: learning a case based on a real patient or healthcare provider, being interviewed and/or examined by learners as a patient in the doctor’s office or emergency department while providing the patient’s history, simulating the patient’s physical signs, such as pain, difficulty walking, troubled breathing, etc. and provide feedback upon completion of scenario.

Owned and operated a restaurant and ice cream parlor.  Responsibilities included interacting with customers, tracking daily finances, adhering to state and federal regulations, maintain adequate inventory, placing orders with multiple vendors, cooking, prep work, cleaning, hiring & training employees.

Acted as the primary interface between the Operations & Training Departments. Scheduled, organized and prepared four of the Operations’ Departments Curriculum Review Committees and Training Advisory Committee meetings on a quarterly basis. Tracked qualifications for Initial Non-Licensed Operators as well as those advancing into other positions such as Shift Manager.  Assisted in scheduling Operators for all accredited and non-accredited training, physicals and respirator fits. Obtained the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations’ (INPO) Instructor Certification in June 2013.  Qualified as an on-call Emergency Plan Communicator.

Responsible for field-related support including:  daily plant rounds, Energy Control Process application and removal of clearance orders, equipment/system startups and shutdowns and Emergency Plan participation. Rotational assignments: June 2010-March 2012 - Non-Licensed Operator Instructor - Qualified as a Subject Matter Expert Instructor and performed classroom lectures, in-plant on-the-job training (OJT) and task performance qualifications evaluations (TPQ/TPE). March 2012-June 2012 - System Clearance Holder - One of six individuals responsible for holding 30+ system clearance orders during the dual refueling outages. Duties included:  ensuring clearance order effectiveness by walking down, reviewing system drawings/prints and applying additional elements, briefed various disciplines on their protective boundaries and coordinated job scope changes to ensure worker safety remained intact.
