As part of my previous role, I was responsible for managing transport booking requests and ensuring effective communication with customers and other stakeholders. I also had the responsibility of driving staff and visitors to meetings and functions across Lagos and Nigeria, along with conducting airport runs for the pick-up and drop-off of staff and visitors, while liaising with airport officials as necessary. I also made sure to wash and clean the official vehicles regularly, ensuring they were kept tidy and parked in a secured area. Any defects, faults, or incidents that occurred were promptly reported to the Transport Manager after a thorough inspection of the vehicle using a comprehensive vehicle inspection checklist. 1 provided administrative support for the day-to-day running of the Lagos office, assisting the Transport Manager/Team Leaders and liaising with other Corporate Services staff based in Lagos as necessary. I updated transport-related data using Microsoft Office IT systems and maintained other records as delegated by the office/transport manager. Lastly, I maintained adequate records for all the operations of the transport unit required for audit purposes, including journey records, stores, vehicle maintenance checklists, and fuel consumption records.

As a delivery personnel, I had a diverse set of responsibilities that required a unique set of skills. My primary task was to deliver a wide range of packages to multiple locations using various routes. To accomplish this, I had to have a thorough understanding of the area I was operating in to plan the most efficient routes. I also needed to have excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries. In addition to delivering packages, I was responsible for loading and unloading them from the delivery vehicle. This required me to be physically fit and capable of lifting packages of varying sizes and weights. I also had to inspect the items to ensure that they were in good condition and report any damages to the relevant department. Providing exceptional customer service was another crucial aspect of my job. I had to ensure customer satisfaction by actively soliciting feedback from them. In case of any complaints, I had to address them promptly and ensure that the customer's concerns were resolved. Additionally, I had to collect payments for the delivery services provided. As part of my job, I also accompanied clients on-farm inspections. During these inspections, I was responsible for ensuring the client's comfort and safety while adhering to strict timelines. I possessed excellent communication skills to keep the clients informed of the inspection's progress and address any concerns they may have.
