Microbiology Laboratory Manager, Microbiologist, Assistant Quality Manager Duties included laboratory management (personnel, quality), analysis results reporting, customer service and marketing. Microbiological laboratory analyze ia water samples, foodstuffs, fertilisers and products with Ph. Eur. methods (non-sterile).

Aims of the few projects that I was working with were development of a bacterial cell enrichment method using immobilized cell surface protein antibodies (TEKES project), detection and identification of cell surface proteins, solubility screening of recombinant cell surface proteins for crystallization. Used methods included immunoelectron microscopy, flow cytometry, Western blotting, gene cloning in E. coli, recombinant protein expression and purification, tritium-labeling, gradient centrifugation, cell culturing and cultivation of anaerobic bacteria.
