I have been teaching and giving tuition in language-related fields since 1997. Subjects taught include English as a Foreign Language, Adult Literacy, German Sociolinguistics, German Phonology, German Language History, the History of Ideas and Intercultural Communication. Since 2007 I have been involved with a blended learning project in Intercultural Communication, "SpEakWise" which was awarded a European Language Label in 2010. I am currently working on a research project on the body in intercultural literature. My book, "Language Learner Narrative: An Exploration of Muendigkeit in Intercultural Literature" was published with Rodopi (now Brill) in 2014.
