As a dedicated carer, I provide personal support and companionship to an individual recovering from significant health challenges. My responsibilities include daily hygiene assistance, wound care, medication management, and coordinating medical appointments, alongside meal preparation and household tasks to ensure a comfortable and healing environment. I hold a BA Honours in English Literature and Political Science from the University of the Incarnate Word and am currently completing a QQI Level 5 Major Award in Healthcare Support through Skillnet Limited. My goal is to transition into a formal healthcare assistant role, where I can further utilize my person-centered approach, empathy, and ability to handle challenging situations to support the dignity and well-being of others.
