After a one week work experience placement in 2012, I was hired as a part-time waitress and salesperson at Halvorsens Conditori, one of Oslos oldest pastry shops. My responsibilities included working at the till and serving, and the time there helped me develop my service skills and gave me valuable experience in the service industry. In 2014 the bakery temporarily closed due to refurbishment, and it is expected to open again in early 2018.

When I first started work at Pascal, I worked primarily as a barista. I then started working in the take-away part of the restaurant, and then progressed onto waitressing as well. The first year I worked part-time, 3-4 days a week, and in summer 2015 and summer 2016 I worked full-time. I now study in Edinburgh, but work as much as I can when I have time off from University. The time at Pascal has been valuable, and it has taught me many valuable skills such as flexibility, leadership, communication and quailty customer service.
