• Co-founded and managed the PIH-México Community Health Worker Program • Designed, implemented, and monitored the first formally studied community health worker program in México for the management of chronic diseases in 8 rural communities with 600 beneficiaries in a catchment area of 50,000 people • Collaborated with Partners in Health on cross-site projects, including working with the Ministry of Health in Rwanda to add non-communicable disease to the CHW’s program on a national level • Advised the National Center for Prevention and Chronic Disease Programs (CENEPRECE) on how to collaborate with CHWs to improve chronic disease management in one of the 240 special care units throughout México • Founded and led a multidisciplinary malnutrition intervention in collaboration with Heifer International, the Ministry of Health in Mexico and two rural communities with 78 participating families.
