Exciting developments in cyber are everywhere right now and as a professional with over 25 years experience in IT and cyber security (infosec as it used to be known) I'm keen to promote cyber as vital to protecting people, organisations and services. I advocate for I am a visionary with the ability to translate those visions into strategy and actionable plans, having previously launched a flagship cybersecurity service for Local Authorities, led cyber resilience projects for the National Cyber Security Centre and led government initiatives on cyber policy, regulation and standards. I act as SME for international forums on cyber security, bringing my years of operational experience to the board room. I am a confident and approachable cyber security professional with a strategic and in-depth working knowledge of relevant legislation, frameworks and governance. I believe in clear strategic direction, achievable, but ambitious objectives, great communication, a good deal of common sense and embedded best practice.
