I offer homeowners my skills in drywall repair, and painting including colour selection and some special treatments. I have also been known to help install drapes and hardware, change light fixtures, do home re-staging, etc. The niche I fill is when a job may be too small for a larger company to want to take on. I love working for my favourite families who have had me back every so often over the years. When clients ask me what I don't do, my answer is plumbing and electrical! I gained my experience working for a construction company starting in 2002. I worked full time for several years, and still come in to help out every now and then when needed. I also worked for a drywaller full time for 6 months, doing mudding and taping full-time. I polished my painting skills with another painter working on empty apartment units. My design skills around colour palettes and home re-staging were developed while working with a family member in their interior design business.

I provide freelance landscaping services primarily to private homes, although I have also worked for businesses in Guelph. This work includes Design, Installation, and Maintenance. I primarily work with plant material: designing garden beds, installing the beds (digging them up!) and planting material I have selected with the clients. I also maintain gardens to keep growth in check, wake beds up in the spring with annuals, and close them down in the fall. Secondarily, I have also done repair/maintence work on flagstone pathways, decks, etc. I am now moving into an Edible Landscaping niche. Once I have my show garden in full blossom, I hope to educate clients and advocate for those equally attractive plants that have edible components to them; more useful than the standard 20 plants offered by mega-stores! I started out in British Columbia working for a small company in West Vancouver, serving many clients in the British Properties. We maintained very large (up to 4 acres) private home gardens.

As a graduate of this program, I am prepared for employment in many areas of horticulture including: municipal parks, golf courses, residential and commercial landscape installation and/or maintenance, garden centre sales, nursery and greenhouse operations, arboriculture. Activities and Societies: Co-op work at Park & Tilford show garden in North Vancouver, West Vancouver parks. Raised school greenhouse crops. Theory in plant biology, soil science, irrigation.

Majored in Piano, French horn. Minored in Voice and Composition. Accompanist and Ear Training Tutor. Activities and Societies: Participated in award-winning choir: Capilano University Singers. Received bursary.
