Providing employability support to the most hard to reach young people in West Lothian.

Providing aftercare for young adults once they have successfully completed the Street League academy and sustained an outcome either in further education, employment or in an apprenticeship.

Facilitated a long term drug-related programme with offenders, wrote post programme reports, attended multi-disciplinary meetings to discuss individual's programme readiness, facilitated short programmes on a weekly basis such as Alcohol Awareness, Stress Management and Assertiveness & Problem Solving and organised the paperwork for a 6 week distance learning course.

I supervised various areas such as visits to maintain order and discipline, searched staff and visitors on entrance to the premises, worked on a residential wing assisting with the daily routine, supervision of medication, or was a runner to escort prisoners to various locations throughout the prison.

- Learned the value of working in a team to achieve common goals. - Advanced my communication skills when interacting with customers; and a degree of diplomacy when dealing with more awkward customers. - Developed confidence using computer system, inputting food orders & take-away orders. - Continuous liaising with kitchen staff, ensuring customer needs are met. - Assisted in the training of new staff, making sure they settled in to the company.

- Working in the office I gained valuable communication skills when dealing with important clients. - Expanded my IT skills, increasing my knowledge of the company database, various Microsoft programs and the company’s website and social networking sites. - Entered previous year’s sales into spread sheet, including location of event and type of event. - Liaised with manager every morning to come up with best plan of action for the day’s tasks. - Regularly contacted venues/suppliers/entertainers to discuss availability for potential events.

- In charge of preparing the mail for posting; operating franking machine. - Carried out various other jobs such as filing; developed an understanding about the importance of confidential documents, as well as photocopying and answering the phone.
