In collaboration with the Board of Directors and the Executive Director, develop and implement the strategic educational goals of the school, assuring a rigorous, Montessori-based curriculum that will prepare students for success beyond the Montessori Academy of Chambersburg. Maintain the highest level of professional, ethical and moral standards. Promote a culture of learning that is centered on the needs of the students and of teaching informed by the Montessori methodology. Conduct the regular review, evaluation, and development of educational programs. Lead the faculty to ensure the curriculum and programming are grounded in the mission of the academy. Supervise all faculty. Create a supportive working environment for the faculty and foster career development. Recruit and onboard new staff. Oversee all aspects of the admissions process in accordance with the admissions policy, ensuring successful enrollment of families in keeping with the school’s commitment to growth, diversity, and inclusivity. Develop a strong, collaborative relationship with parents. Oversee the management and reporting of standards and regulations, as dictated by the PA State Development of Education, Department of Health and Safety, the Office of Child Development and Early Learning, and Middle States Association Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools. Act as the primary spokesperson for the school and represent the academy in the community.

Prepare and maintain an ideal Montessori learning environment for children ages 3 to 6 years. Prepare and implement individualized students lessons utilizing both Montessori and teacher-prepared learning activities. Maintain data and records of individual student progress, first through self-designed records system and later by implementing Montessori Records Express computerized data system. Create and maintain positive and informative interactions with the parent/family community.

Design and implement a variety of individualized before and after-school activities for elementary-age children. Direct all program activities, including staff hiring/management and compliance with Maryland regulations for childcare programs.

Supervisor of student employees of the Circulation department of Gettysburg College's Musselman Library. Develop employee handbook and train new employees.

Study abroad semester, including independent field research regarding formal and informal environmental education in a rural community.
