Work with Bay organizers and ROC leadership to support meetings (scheduling, attendance and note-taking, meeting prep, followup) with legislative and government agency representatives, perform research and create materials (for lobby meetings and for worker members) to support the policy campaign, and perform research to map the legislative landscape in these regions to inform campaign strategy (identifying key agencies, legislators, allies, and relevant policy campaigns).

Fostered vibrant community through skill-building workshops, communal meals, and local service opportunities for 80+ organization members. Coordinated speaker events with IOP civic engagement and programming staff. Initiated inaugural gender-inclusive workshop series.

Engaged in weekly workshops on urban education, non-profit management, and career development. Completed summer internship with Heartland Alliance Inc.

Trained 20 immigrant opportunity youth in effective Adult English Language tutoring. Designed curriculum on workforce development, college readiness, and identity building for city's largest youth employment program. Coordinated site visits of colleges, museums, and culturally significant sites in Chicago.

Synthesized Strategic Decision Support Center data for district briefing and bi-weekly CompStat reports. Produced literature reviews on local violent crimes and prostitution for use by CPD. Achieved CPD analyst clearance.

Designed pilot cohort program placing 4 young women in direct service internships. Facilitated weekly workshops on meaningful and effective service work in South Side context. Managed relationships with 4 local non-profits and respective volunteer projects.

Managed group dynamics and individual wellbeing of 3 bunks of 12 campers. Created and facilitated original programming for children ages 9-15. Addressed physical and emotional needs of campers both at camp and backpacking in Yosemite National Park.

Labor Summer is a student skills development program of the UC Berkeley Center for Labor Research and Education and the San Francisco Central Labor Council. As an Organizing Fellow, I attend sessions on Labor Movement history, strategy design, policy research, and leadership development.
