Stepping Out Program is an independent, non-profit community organisation committed to social justice. The organisation works with adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. It provides support, advocacy, case management, counselling through partnerships, tenancy support, education and training through a therapeutic service model.

Hayley is a passionate lawyer with experience in litigation and compensation law. She is a key member of the team dedicated to Carroll & O’Dea Lawyers’ groundbreaking work achieving compensation for people who are a part of the Stolen Generations. Through this work Hayley has significant experience representing victims of historical sexual, physical and emotional abuse. For Hayley, this work truly makes a difference to people, and goes beyond individual clients receiving compensation. As part of the settlement process, abuse victims receive a personal apology from the defendant institution or department, which means a lot to them. Hayley’s practice also includes acting for people in a range of personal injury matters, including workers compensation, motor vehicle accidents, compensation to relatives, nervous shock, public liability and medical negligence.
