• Worked directly with Dr. Yisheng Peng to proofread manuscripts, preparing studies on Organizational Psychology for journal submission. • Reviewed manuscript citations to ensure accurate and properly formatted references. SOHAL (Social and Occupational Health Across the Lifespan) is run by Dr. Yisheng Peng. The lab conducts research on stress and aging in the workplace. Dr. Peng is a professor of Industrial-Organizational Psychology at GW, and the director of GW's I/O PhD program.

English Teaching Assistant
Seville, Spain
• Created and provided English lessons for K-12 classrooms, strengthening students' vocabulary and grammar. Worked with students ranging from 8-18 years old. • Engaged students in English conversational practice, strengthening their spoken fluency in the language. • When needed, explained concepts in Spanish to ensure students' comprehension. Liceo Francés is an international school in Seville, following the French education system. It provides a trilingual education in English, French, and Spanish.

• Read and discussed papers on Cognitive Neuroscience with other lab members. • Carried out experimental procedures with punctuality and attention to detail. The Attention and Cognition Lab researches attentional selection and sensory processing. Its PI is Dr. Sarah Shomstein, the Hunt Professor and Chair of GW's Psychology department.

HR & Recruiting Intern
• Reviewed thousands of resumes on Handshake to select for talent and screen out applicants. • Conducted over 20 interviews to assess candidates for job fit. Interviewed for teams across the organization, including Design, Sales, and HR. • Assisted in decision-making for potential hires. Made final decision on 2 candidates, and served as hiring manager for the UI/UX position. • Performed HR generalist tasks, such as onboarding candidates and updating the HR database. HumanID is a tech non-profit, providing an alternative to SSO login. Its product centers on one-time login codes sent as SMS messages.

Undergraduate Learning Assistant

• Held review sessions for Intro to Macroeconomics. • Worked with over 50 students to improve conceptual understanding and course performance. Included one-on-one, small group, and lecture settings. This paid position was officially employed by the university. I was nominated for it by economics professor Dr. Roberto Samaniego.

I worked with a team of students under Dr. Maggie Chen, an economics professor at GW. Our team conducted background research on The China Foundation for the Promotion of Education and Culture. Tasks included: • Reviewing academic literature on the Foundation, to document its historical development and evolution. • Locating data on foundation activities, and logging them in our database. To collect data, I accessed specialized research collections at the Library of Congress.

• Co-wrote editorial article, with Dr. Paul Lachelier, on methods for business leaders to support democracy. Published in The Fulcrum in December 2023. • Summarized academic research on localizing international relations, to assist a presentation given by Dr. Lachelier. • Identified experts who could contribute to Learning Life's mission, targeted through Boolean search terms; conducted subsequent outreach. Per Dr. Lachelier's request, I created instructional videos for interns. The organization uses these videos for teaching other interns to use Boolean search terms, and efficiently log results with keyboard shortcuts. Learning Life is a nonprofit that promotes democracy and cross-cultural communication.
