About

Besides global and urban environmental issues, my current interests range from information management and rural development issues to community innovativeness, disaster management and NGO development. My goal is to intrapolate global environmental problems and strategies to approaches and action at local and micro level. And extrapolate back to the global. After more than 20 years in Japan, my passion is to build bridges linking knowledge and information here to those in other countries, particularly developing economies. I like to work in the field, facilitate group interactions, and get people thinking about their locality. I espouse good information design (as in "How do you create a one-pager from a 200-page manual?").
