- Responsible for management of 75 vessels, and 60 members of staff, who directly report to me. - As a team leader, tasked with providing overall direction and motivation to the entire technical management group, as well as maintaining communication between fleets and owners; - Directing and coordinating the annual and multi-year budgets for the fleets and ensuring excellent results through implementing discipline to budgeting and expenditure procedures to a high degree of accuracy; - Overseeing vessel performance, shipboard maintenance, repair programs, dry dockings, deficiencies, class and flag surveys, and ensuring that these are completed within necessary time frames whilst providing accurate reporting to owners;

- As a senior manager, making astute managerial decisions such as the introduction of various modules in the inhouse management software to facilitate good record keeping; - All dry dockings were done in cost effective manner and paint scheme so chosen to have maximum return on investment. On a average most of the vessel docked could achieve up to 4 pct fuel saving per year. - Pioneered Fuel saving initiatives on the vessels by introducing fitment of various appendages to the hull and propeller and enrolling the vessel in various initiatives such as Voyage optimization and hull performance monitoring. - Other studies on Fuel saving done during the tenure, such as Hybrid power combining Solar wind and traditional Power generators and Alternate Marine Power such as cold ironing etc. Small scale initiatives such as installation of Variable Frequency devices were fitted on vessels. - Various retrofit projects carried out like the installation of BWTS and Scrubbers in vessels under management. - Overall, I was responsible for Technical, Marine, Insurance, Crewing, Vetting, Supply Chain and Vessel Performance departments. - The vessels under management in the last 11 years include, Chemical Tankers, Crude tankers, MR & LR tankers, Bulk Carriers, Container ships and Gas tankers.

- Tasked with technical and operational decisions pertaining to the Oil and Gas Group as a Senior General Manager and quickly rose to the rank of Vice President of the Group; - Wholly responsible for operations and maintenance of the entire LPG and Afra Max fleet owned by the Company (the largest such fleet in India); - Reported directly to the Chairman and Managing Director and was often praised on leadership and managerial skills; - Managed Heads of Safety and Quality Departments and the Fleet Personnel department, who reported directly to me; - Gained invaluable experience in operations and maintenance of Gas tankers, Double Hull Afra Max tankers built in Japan and Korea.

- Upon the merger of Eurasia Ship Management Limited with Hanseatic Ship Management Limited in Singapore, tasked with enhancing company business due to my impeccable professional management record and good personal relations with owners; - Undertook the onboarding and management of new building vessels such as Type 2 and Type 3 Chemical Tankers, Ethylene Tankers and Product Tankers; - Voluntarily participated in various sea trials of the vessels including Gas Plant Trials for Ethylene Tankers.

- Quickly promoted to the rank of Fleet Manager after joining the Company as a Senior Technical Superintendent; - In Hong Kong, tasked with the handling of VLCCs, Gas Carriers, Chemical Tankers; - Managed a team of 6 superintendents, and reported directly to the Director stationed in Singapore; - Had sole responsibility for induction of vessels into fleet, preparing budgets, liaising with owners regarding proposed budgets, and managing of the ship within budget; - Involved in various ship repair projects in China with steel renewal in some cases being more than 1000 tons; - Led, organized and carried out various company audits by various Flag States, Classification Societies, Oil Major Companies amongst others; - Involved in numerous aspects of implementing TMSA including gap analysis, rewriting the ISM manuals and closing out other such gaps; - Secured business for the Company through personal connections and interactions with notable owners in South East Asia;

- Successfully began work at an international shipping hub such as Hong Kong with one of the pioneering ship management companies; - Gained exposure to various types of vessels including VLCC, Cape Size Bulk Carriers, Panamax Carries, Car Carriers, Container Ships, Ro Ro Vessels, General Cargo Vessels, and Chemical Tankers; - Worked as part of a team across these vessels owned by major shipping companies such as MSC, Tsakos, NYK, Tokyo Marine, and Sanko; - Built innumerable network of ship-owner clients who have since supported me in my journey through various companies. With the contacts I gained here, I was able to convince ship Owners to do business with Eurasia and MTM ship Management.

- Worked across a fleet of 3 Bulk Carriers and 5 Offshore vessels; - Gained invaluable experience and knowledge of the operations of offshore vessels; - Solely responsible for dry dock of all 5 offshore vessels; - Communicated with Various flag state and Class as required for vessel operation at sea. I was also the main liaison between the company and ONGC which had time chartered all 5 offshore vessels

Joined in 1980 as 5EO and sailed for 16 years with SCI including 8 years as CE on Tankers and container ships
