Played a significant role in the transformational Office 12 release. Key Contributions: • Led performance and debugging efforts across Excel, driving improvements in speed, reliability, and diagnostics. • Contributed to the major redesign of Office’s UI, transitioning from the traditional File > Menu structure to the modern Ribbon UI. • Helped architect and implement Excel’s multi-threaded recalculation engine to improve computational performance. • Played a central role in building the Page Layout View, introducing a more print-accurate editing experience. • Participated in Excel’s data model expansion—from 65,536 to over 1 million rows, and from 256 to over 16,000 columns—enabling high-scale data analysis.
