Currently I work in the NW potato industry and have over eight years of experience in developing teams working production/ processing: five directly related to safely and consistently producing high quality food products; four revolving around continuous improvement projects while managing diverse teams: implementing SOP’s, prepping for SQF, BRC and AIB audits, ensuring that our workers adhere to the plant's food safety, GMP, PPE and HAACP programs. I accomplish this by building the quality in; this starts upstream, monitoring the raw product profiles, comparing them with customer's specifications, and following the lines by managing my time and our resources to lead a team to exceed our daily production goals. Currently I am Green Belt certified through Juran and have served as an ad hoc team member helping fellow managers obtain their Black Belt certification. Finally, in this industry, I feel that I do not have to recreate the proverbial wheel; but I do have the skill set to help make it spin faster and produce more efficiently!
