Planning, organizing, leading and controlling the total HR of United Breweries Ltd, Ludhiana plant with a capacity of 8.75 lac cases (1.05 Crore bottles) per month being one of the largest brewery in north India and ensure optimum utilization of human resources to achieve Safety, productivity, efficiency, quality and product development objectives towards company’s goals. I have a strong work-force of 400 and have done 3 LTS successfully in two units of UB Group. Further I am responsible for all the liaison with all the Govt. Departments ie Factories, Labour, Pollution Control Board and Excise. I also head the CSR activities of the plant. We are into supporting primary education and safe drinking water for the adjacent villages. We have successfully handed over 15 projects of RO water to villages in Haryans and Rajasthan. I successful enrolled orphan children who were begging in the streets to a government school in Ludhiana under CSR.

Coordinated orientations and exit interviews for part-time and temporary employees, trained employees new and more efficient ways to perform their jobs, training to new employees, assisted managers with hiring procedures, screening of candidates, coordinating interviews, analyzed and resolved personnel grievances of the customers of various ethnic backgrounds and countries. And offering assistance to employees dealing with personal issues and problems.

Responsibilities included assisting the senior managers in interviews for both permanent and temporary staff, general administration, coaching to the staff about improving quality, performance, production and customer satisfaction, training new staff.

I worked in this group on various positions. I joined them as Law Officer and the other positions held were of Labour Officer, Executive (P&A), Personnel Head and Corporate Manager. I was assigned the job of Corporate Manager in New Delhi keeping in view my liaison skills. The biggest achievement for me as Corporate Manager was successfully obtaining license to manufacture fertilizers and chemicals. This was a multi-billion Rupee project, which boosted the group image nationally as well internationally. The last position held by me in this prestigious group was of a Personnel Manager in Punjab Woolcombers Ltd., one of the largest and modern units of the group, which was equipped with latest plant and machinery. It employed over 1500 people.

This factory is located in Western India and was 100% export oriented unit, which employed over 5000 people. I worked in this factory as a graduate trainee in Personnel and Administration. I used to assist the personnel, legal and transport managers in their day-to-day functions.
