Civil Engineer @ AC Future

About

A highly motivated civil structural engineering Ph.D. candidate at TAMU, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. I am working on a 3D-printed concrete project aiming at developing rational design procedures and seismic modification factors for 3DPC structures. My task in the current project is the development of design methodology and numerical simulation of 3D-printed concrete structures. I am looking to pursue a position in the university or the industry, with a natural aptitude for research and a burning desire to develop this through involvement in structural engineering or other Dynamics-related areas.

I have been working on a project about the seismic performance of 3D printed concrete (3DPC) structures. Since there are currently very few code provisions covering the design of such type of structure, our ultimate goal is to develop rational seismic design factors for this type of structure such that they can be used as a reference in developing future code. My primary duty in this group is to create and validate finite element models, produce a design methodology for residential 3DPC building archetypes, and use them to evaluate building performance and selected R factors per the FEMA P695 methodology. I have greatly improved my research and analytical skills during this process and kept my interest in this field.
