Hydro Extrusion Lichtervelde is specialized in extruding big, wide, thin, strong and light aluminium components. With their 8.200 tonnes extrusion press, they can extrude up to a width of 620 mm wide, a weight of 65 kg per meter and up to 26 meters long. Big profiles offer big advantages for varied applications. As a substitution of steel, big aluminium profiles are not only much lighter, but an application based on aluminium will also be able to realize the same strength. Accordingly, the weight of the whole construction will be reduced and the manufacture of assemblies simplified. Applications for big profiles vary widely, such as, for example: Wall sections for the railway industry Helicopter landing platforms for the offshore industry Boat masts Large components for machine and Medical Industry Building & Construction Industry Busbars for electrical condictivity

EXTRUSAX is a company focused on the extrusion, powder coating, anodizing and machining of aluminium profiles. During my period at Extrusax, beside being responsable for all operational procedures, I was also highly involved in the Quality Department, EHS and Human Recourses of the company. Extrusax has a long experience and ample know-how in the production of complex sections. We find specific solutions for specific needs.

For Phoenix I sold extrusion dies and extrusion tooling to different parts of the world, like: the Netherlands, Belgium, UK, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, United Arab Emirates and Oman and was partly responsable for the technical office during my last year.

Die Correction was a small German company partly owned by the Haarmann Group. The idea was to have a group of die-correctors which could be send to extrusion companies in ccase of need during a certain period of time. In this function I worked for several companies, like: Nordalu, HMT, Profil Gruppen and Kawneer. As a consultant, I not only corrected dies but also came up with ideas to improve the dieshop (communication with the die-suppliers, die correction and extrusion best practies etc).

Almax was the first die-manufacturing company for the aluminium extrusion market in Europe until it went bankrupt in 1999.

Boal (today Alumero) Finex is specialized in aluminium precision and micro profiles, manufactured to very tight tolerances - minimal wall thicknesses - and does not require a minimum order.

BOAL Profielen has a 1600-TN (7-inch) extrusion press and a 2200-TN (8-inch) extrusion press. BOAL NL is the most experienced extrusion site within the BOAL Group and is renowned for quality profile and die designs.
