Having the responsibility for supervising young people within the child protection, placement and family services sector who reside in residential units operated by CO's and Department of Communities. Providing care, supervision, safety and support for young people and families. Assisting, advocating and advising clients in child, youth and family environments. Environments including: Transitional accommodation Youth Residential accommodation Criminal justice Monitoring the physical health and emotional wellbeing of young people and families, and communicating these observations to coordinators Assisting in the operation of the day to day routines of the worksite and where possible maintaining consistency in the program goals. Dealing with mental health and risky behaviours of young people who have experience trauma and helping them relate more appropriately to others, resolve conflicts between themselves and others and determine their own goals/objectives. Welcoming family and friends visits las per the CO's guidelines) to young people and assisting in enhancing these relationships Supporting and enhancing individual young person's experiences with on site and off site recreational, social and development opportunities.
