Hannah Zeeman

Na mijn afstuderen aan de Gerrit Rietveld Academie te Amsterdam, afdeling VAV-Moving Image, ben ik in mijn multidisciplinaire werk bezig met publieke en locatie-gebonden thema’s. Mijn filmprojecten nemen de vorm aan van home-made documentaires waarin ikzelf vaak ook een performatieve rol aanneem. Mijn schrijfwerk, handgemaakte publicaties en drukwerk, behandelt alledaagse thema’s waarin het intieme versus het publieke, de Nederlandse taal, lettering en het landschap centraal staan. Naast mijn persoonlijke projecten ben ik ook actief in een performance collectief waarin improvisatie en interactie met omgeving en publiek belangrijke aspecten zijn. En in mijn band ‘AvondUur’ ben ik, naast zangeres, ook de schrijfster van de teksten, die zich, in lijn met mijn persoonlijke werk, eveneens met het alledaagse bezighouden. My film projects take the form of home-made documentaries in which I often take on a performative role. My writing, in handmade publications and printed matter, deals with everyday themes in which the intimate versus the public, the Dutch language, lettering and the landscape are central. In addition to my personal projects, I am also active in a performance collective in which improvisation and interaction with the environment and audience are important aspects. And in my band 'AvondUur', in addition to being a singer, I am also the writer of the lyrics, which, in line with my personal work, also deal with the everyday.
