As an assistant to the actuarial staff at Lewis & Ellis, our role is to review and analyze Medicare bids under strict time constraints for CMS. I personally reviewed 400+ bids in our two week time frame, provided additional excel research and analysis in the form of spreadsheets and pivot tables, and created resolution comments for each plan.

The office assistant position required daily auditing of the building's keys and cards, mediation services for residents, and customer service applications by communicating with potential and current residents of Apartment and Residence Life. I frequently trained the new employees of the building and worked closely with the supervisors to plan and execute the daily tasks and events for the building.

A mentor to the freshmen class, I was required to assist an instructor in conducting weekly lessons relevant to the transition students face coming from high school to college. I participated as a student enrolled in the course my first year and was a peer leader the following three fall semesters. This position required lesson planning, public speaking, and a great deal of creative and resourceful thinking.

As a summer conferences assistant, it is my responsibility to direct and train the resident assistants and office assistants throughout the time that our residence halls host summer camps. I am ultimately responsible for ensuring the camp director’s every need is met and assisting the directors of Guest Services all the while maintaining impeccable customer service.

The lab assistant position requires weekly prep work of lab worksheets and quizzes for the college level precalculus students as well as assistance in the form of private tutoring or mentoring during group work sessions. This requires a strong understanding of precalculus and the ability to teach these topics to others.
