Hanara Nam

Hello! I’m Hanara Nam, currently pursuing a Master’s in Human–Computer Interaction at Carnegie Mellon University. I’m a product designer who likes working at the messy edges where AI, people, and real constraints collide. I focus on turning complex systems into interfaces that feel clear, grounded, and trustworthy, especially when users are navigating uncertainty or cognitive load. I earned my undergraduate degree in Human Centered Design & Engineering at the University of Washington, where I built a strong foundation in UX research, interaction design, and designing for real human needs. I like getting involved early, when the problem is still fuzzy, and staying close as ideas turn into real, shipped product. That often means asking uncomfortable questions, sketching fast, and working side by side with engineers to make sure the details hold up. I care about craft, but even more about intent: why something exists, who it serves, and whether it actually earns people’s trust. I’m drawn to teams building thoughtful, responsible products, especially human-AI systems where design choices truly matter.
