Applications Engineer working in both Standard Products & Project Value Streams of the business. I utilise in-house sizing/selection software alongside engineering knowledge to propose technical solutions for various pumping applications in a multitude of industries; including chemical, oil & gas, renewable energy, industrial & food production sectors. Standard Products Value Stream Overseeing the quotation process for non-project items from enquiry stage up until the order is processed through the business. Issuing quotations for repeats, new enquiries & modifications of repeats. All within the parameters of a standard project. Projects Value Stream Overseeing the quotation process for engineered solutions from enquiry stage up until the order is processed through the business. Issuing budgetary quotations for Bid for Bid & Bid for FEED stage projects, as well as more detailed quotations for later stages, ensuring all technical requirements & specifications are captured. Also liaising with engineering & quality departments for any custom build, testing or operational requirements. Acting as a co-ordinator for all non-standard enquiries & ensuring all engineering & technical queries are captured & assigned to relevant teams.

Principal Engineer Worked within the retail department; leading projects alongside operations team to improve process efficiency by identifying bottlenecks & reducing waste streams. Assisted in & co-ordinated planned maintenance on assets within all departments, from Arrivals up until Primary, Retail & Despatch. This involved repairs, reactive maintenance, responding to breakdowns, completion of preventative maintenance schedules & general engineering upkeep of all machinery & running parts. This required working 12-hour day & night shifts, understanding the operational changes & requirements during the shift changes that ensued during this time. Implemented the 9-step kaizen approach, 5 whys & root cause analysis for fault finding & to carry out projects systematically & successfully to completion, identifying & quantifying all positive outcomes & room for improvement. Production Team Leader Managed an area & production process, as well as the allocated team within various areas of the primary & retail departments, including automated cut up, breast portioning & meat packaging lines. Established myself as a confident & reliable team leader with a wide range of responsibilities & the ability to support or manage any area & process within the production site. Responsibilities included - but were not limited to - leading the team and process through: - coordinating product trials to investigate yields achieved using various stock types - managing employee disciplinaries, pay slips & training as well as regular 121s - people management & training via effective communication & team building - coordinating day to day operations and liaising with planning, engineering & quality departments - monitoring KPIs, daily efficiencies and production targets
