Primarily responsible for all management recruiting and training and development for The Roosevelt Hotel.

Ensured compliance as primary trainer for campus of over 1400 employees. Developed custom training for Civility in the Workplace, Performance Programs and Evaluations, and Counseling and Counseling Memos. Updated and facilitated new employee orientations, Workplace Violence Prevention, Domestic Violence in the Workplace, Sexual Harassment and Discrimination Prevention. Certified by State to facilitate Performance Management, Sexual Harassment and Domestic Violence training. Developed and facilitated employee computer training for Microsoft Office Suite. Served as secondary Affirmative Action Officer to ensure compliance with hiring process and investigate employee complaints. Served on Campus Emergency Response Team to develop strategic plan for disaster and emergency scenarios as well as on site incident response. Served as primary Human Resources contact for supervisors for the Governor’s Office of Employee Relations counseling process. Oversaw dramatic increase in employee accountability and counseling documentation through training and outreach to campus supervisors.

* Performed all front line recruiting activities including pre-screens, assessments, in depth interviews and job fairs. * Maintained applicant tracking log and transferred existing data during conversion of Excel log into PeopleSoft HRMS system and Mylearning training database. * Conducted interview training for hiring managers and supervisors to ensure EEO compliance. * Trained all managers and supervisors during roll out of management self-service portal.

* Provided operational support for attractions and resort hotel operations. * Trained new cast members and recertified managers on attraction operations. * Piloted animal visibility study and tracking procedure with animal care team.

Developed recruiting strategy as a part of the pre-opening team for the Hotel, including relationships with community based organizations and The Department of Labor for sourcing plans and job fairs. Received over 8,000 applications for 232 open positions. Worked with corporate opening team to implement pre-opening and ongoing training programs to develop new employees. Provided relief paymaster services as primary back up to paymaster and ensured accuracy of bi-weekly payroll and HRIS databases. Created simplified documents to assist employees with computer based Human Resources portals that allowed them to update and manage personal information, payroll data, transfer requests and individual learning activities for those with limited knowledge of computers. Implemented employee recognition and employee engagement programs to increase morale and reward development and service excellence.
