Haley Chen

I co-founded a nonprofit, PLAY for the FUTURE, a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to reducing inequality in youth sports. We've raised over $20,000 worth of sports equipment and donated over 1,457 pieces. I've successfully led donation drives, I've learned how to code a website, and I've established an effective social media presence.

I designed and organized advertisements for all AAYSA activities. I oversaw the academy’s social media platforms.

I teach kids ages 4-12 how to play soccer. I set up drills for them to enhance their skills and coach them through scrimmages to practice their skills. I also have to look out for their safety and encourage them to do their best. I have now coached over 200 youth athletes.

I played games, worked on puzzles, and read books to young children. I practiced good communication with children and their guardians. I focused on providing the kids I babysat with a safe and healthy environment.

I tutored two 13 year old boys in middle school level mathematics. I helped them with their assigned homework, going over any questions they had about it. I also assigned them extra practice problems to help them better understand the content.
