FORECASTING AND PLANNING: • Monitored inventory level on both SKU and store levels and placed orders to maintain targeted in-stock ratio. • Reviewed Open-to-Buy (OTB) report, compared budgeted COGS and funds spent, and prepared weekly purchase plan. • Set up optimums for each SKU and store combination to align with merchant’s sales plan and re-calculated the optimums based on indices including sales history, drop codes, replenishment codes. • Conducted re-order analysis by reviewing inventory level and sales trends and communicated forecasts to vendors. • Track sales trends, reviewed inventory by SKU and adjusted replenishment plan. • Generated weekly report showing inventory level by categories, prime inventory ratio and weekly changes. • Created weekly purchase recommendation spreadsheet and present weekly purchase mix to management based on current stock-out quantities, weekly demands, and optimums per SKU. • Created overstock assessment report, provide estimate of ideal inventory level and worked with finance team to conduct analysis on inventory recovery value and loss. • In partnership of merchandising, operation, finance teams, managed to reduce inventory dramatically over a short period of time. EDI & OTHER • Managed daily EDI sending and receiving transactions including EDI 810,816,850,856,860,870. • Verified information of incoming EDI documents and communicated with senders to resolve issues. • Coordinated with overseas facilities to resolve production delays, missing products, and quality issues in order to render timely delivery of products to sales floors. • Analyzed and modified inventory, routing and packaging information, ensured accuracy in database, and managed to reduce logistics related chargebacks. • Managed and planned shipping schedules of all department store orders and worked closely with major Less Than Truckload (LTL) carriers and customer’s designated 3PL providers.
