* Collaborate with Instructional Designer and team to develop and deliver the training program for multiple HIM applications. * Identify potential training gaps/issues and work with training team members * to resolve. * Train GHS end-users including: physicians, nurses and staff on how to efficiently utilize Epic EMR with the goal of improving patient care. * Monitor student enrollment and provide support post go-live as needed.

* Assisted the Director of Quality Management and supervised positions within the HIM Department including: Coding, ROI, and Health Information. * Coordinated and facilitated the Medical Records Taskforce that meets regularly to make improvements to the integrity of the medical record. * Assigned ICD-9-CM, ICD-10-CM, CPT and DSM-IV codes to all inpatient records with 99% accuracy. * Conducted chart audits and collaborated with clinical and administrative staff regarding proper coding compliance, as well as improve overall clinical documentation.

* Abstracted medical records from paper chart and converted to Electronic Medical Record (EMR) format using Epic software. * Processed accurate and timely medical charge entry for diagnoses, procedures and services for physicians’ office and hospital services. * Followed up on any incomplete/inaccurate charges and made corrections promptly. * Resolved issues such as charge capture, medical necessity, claims denials and bundling issues.

* Developed and implemented lesson plans that fulfilled the requirements of the district’s curriculum and showed written evidence of preparation as required. * Prepared lessons that reflected accommodations for differences in student learning styles. * Presented subject matter according to guidelines established by Anderson School District One, board policies, and administrative regulations. * Planned and used appropriate instructional and learning strategies that reflected understanding of the learning styles and needs of students assigned.
